Had left over wine-soaked cheddar from Bookclub, and I found the taste too strong to enjoy by itself. I tried this, and WOW! Definitely tasty enough to serve to guests, and so easy, too. :)

Ingredients

  • - sliced wine-soaked cheddar, or swiss cheese
  • - dried cranberries/craisins
  • - crusty sourdough bread

How To Make super easy gourmet appetizer/ sandwich

  • Step 1
    Toast sourdough slices.
  • Step 2
    Top with cheese slices and dried cranberries. Can top with another slice of bread to make sandwich, or leave open-faced.
  • Step 3
    Microwave to melt cheese. (Could skip toasting and grill, if you prefer.) Cut & serve as appetizer or with soup/salad for a meal.
