This is a quick and easy appetizer to prepare for a crowd. It will easily serve 50.

2-8 oz
cream cheese, softened
2 c
cheddar cheese, shredded
2 c
dairy sour cream, divided
1 1/2 pkg
taco seasoning
eggs, room temperature
1-4oz can(s)
chopped green chilies, drained
2/3 c
salsa, chunky
1 bag
tortilla chips

How to Make Southwest Cheesecake


  • 1Combine cheeses; beat until fluffy. Stir in 1 cup of sour cream and taco seasoning. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Fold in chilies. Pour into 9-inch spring-form pan.
  • 2Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until center is just firm. Remove from oven and cool 10 minutes. Spoon remaining sour cream over top of cake. Return to oven for 5 minutes.
  • 3Cool completely on wire rack. Refrigerate, covered, overnight. Remove from pan. Place on serving plate. Top with salsa. Serve with tortilla chips.
