For an easy supper and something different I like an "open-faced sandwich". When I was a teenager there was a great little restaurant on Circuit Ave., in Oak Bluffs, Ma. on the island of Martha's Vineyard that served this sort of food,it was called Frosty Cottage. They served ice cream, burgers and an assortment of take-out food.

How To Make piccadilly circles

  • Step 1
Most of the prep-time is chopping cheese, green peppers and ham; the sauce might take five minutes; and broiling time might be five minutes. Watch carefully, broil until cheese sauce is golden brown.
  • Step 2
You may prefer to use good sliced bread, or those small slices of party rye bread instead of English muffins.
