Ingredients
- 4 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 4 packages 3 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup pimento stuffed olives, chopped finely
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1/8 teaspoon celery salt
- 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons onion flakes, dehydrated
- 1 dash garlic salt
- FOR DECORATING THE OUTSIDE OF THE CHEESE BALL
- - parsley, fresh, chopped
- - pimento stuffed olives, sliced
- - pecans, in pieces
How To Make holiday cheese ball
-
Step 1Combine first 8 ingredients in a large bowl. Mix well with hands.
-
Step 2Shape into a large ball, or a few smaller balls.
-
Step 3Place olive slices around the cheese ball and then roll the ball in pecan pieces and parsley. (The olive slices look like tiny wreaths all around the cheese ball, and the parsley gives it a nice, bright appearance). Wrap in wax paper or plastic wrap and refrigerate. Let it warm to room temp before serving. Serve with assorted crackers (my favorite is sesame crackers). And I usually decorate the cheese platter with my recipe for Christmas Holly.
