crisp caraway swiss twists
This came from taste of home and is so pretty to look at. It starts with a sheet of puff pastry. Every time I bring this cute little appetizer I am always asked for the recipe. The combo of caraway seeds, swiss cheese, and Dijon mustard in the flaky crust is irresistable.

Ingredients
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 teaspoon country style dijon mustard
- 3/4 cup swiss cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 2 teaspoons fresh parsley, minced
- 1 1/2 teaspoons caraway seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 - sheet puff pastry
How To Make crisp caraway swiss twists

Step 1In a small bowl, beat egg, water, and mustard. Set aside.

Step 2In another bowl combine the cheese, onion, parsley , caraway seeds, and garlic salt

Step 3Unfold pastry sheet, brush with egg mixture.

Step 4Sprinkle cheese mixture over half of the pastry the long way.

Step 5Fold pastry over filling. Press edges to seal.

Step 6Brush top with remaining egg wash.

Step 7Cut widthwise into 1/2 inch strips.

Step 8Twist each strip several times.

Step 9place 1 inch apart on a greased baking sheet, pressing ends down.

Step 10Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven until golden brown, serve warm.
