cottage blue cheese dip

This is a recipe I have used for quite awhile- everyone seems to enjoy the mingling of the two cheese flavors and seasonings. Although there are always 2 or three other dips to choose -this goes the fastest- other ingredients may be added if you like, such as pimento,diced sweet peppers, chopped dill pickles, mushrooms....

yield 2 cups

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups 12 oz. container-cream-style small curd cottage cheese
  • 1/3 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 1/8 teaspoon (that's a pinch, btw), pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons finely chopped green onion,some greens too
  • 3 tablespoons cream or milk
  • 1 dash paprika, for color

How To Make cottage blue cheese dip

  • Step 1
    Blend the cottage with an electric mixer until smooth. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. If you feel it needs to be thinner , add a little more cream. Serve chilled, with vegetables or crackers or chips..great spread on toasted pumpernickel squares too.
