My mother-in-law spotted this recipe in the local newspaper a few years ago. She thought it would be fun to try for dessert for our Super Bowl party. It was fabulous so I make it every year for the SB and other events! (My pictures shows it spread on a shortbread cookie! Yum!)

Ingredients

  • 8 oz
    spreadable cream cheese
  • 3/4 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1/2 c
    butter, softened (not melted)
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 3/4 c
    mini chocolate chips
  • 1 c
    toasted pecans, finely chopped
  • ·
    graham crackers, shortbread cookies, nilla wafers and/or pretzels

How to Make Chocolate Chip Pecan Cheese Ball

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, butter, brown sugar and vanilla with an electric mixer until smooth. Add chocolate chips and ½ cup pecans. Refrigerate until firm then form mixture into desired shape and roll in remaining pecans. Serve with cookies and/or pretzels.
