This is a quick & easy appetizer that is great for parties. The topping can be made up to 3 days ahead, which is wonderful when you're short on time! Oh... and they taste great too!

Gosh, these are yummy! They make a great appetizer, but try them with lasagna or pasta too. I loved the mix of seasonings and the green onion. A super simple appetizer if you have last-minute company or just don't want to spend a ton of time in the kitchen.

Ingredients For cheese toasties

  • 1 stick
    butter or margarine
  • 1 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 c
  • 1/2 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 3 or 4
    green onions, sliced
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 2
    sourdough baguettes

How To Make cheese toasties

  • 1
    Stir together butter, cheese, mayo, onion powder, garlic powder, & green onions in a medium bowl. Mixture can be refrigerated for up to 3 days, or used right away.

    When ready to make, slice baguettes and spread with cheese mixture.

    Bake at 400 degrees for approximately 10 minutes.
