Ingredients

  • 1 small round brie (about 14 oz)
  • CRANBERRY RELISH
  • 1/2 - orange, unpeeled
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries (heaping cup)
  • 6 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons sliced almonds
  • 1 teaspoon grand marnier
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

How To Make brie for the holidays (sallye)

  • Step 1
    RELISH: Remove seeds and membranes from the orange. Process the orange in a food processor until finely chopped. Place in mixing bowl Process cranberries in food processor until of relish consistency. Add orange mixture, brown sugar and almonds, Grand Marnier and spice to cranberries. Pulse 3 or 4 times until of desired consistency Note: this may be prepared in advance and stored covered in fridge until ready to use
  • Step 2
    BRIE: Preheat oven to 500º Arrange brie in baking dish. Spread the top of brie with relish Bake for 4-5 minutes Remove from oven and plate on holiday platter
  • Step 3
    Garnish with grapes and/or fresh fruit Serve with your choice of crackers or try pita chips (they bring a different taste to the usual party food)
