~ Comforting Au Gratin Shrimp Cups ~ Yum!

Cassie *

I just couldn't wait to try out the ramekins my daughter bought me for Christmas. I love them... nice for portion control too.

This shrimp dish really hit the spot. Creamy good and just a hint of Sherry to the flavor. Can be served as an appetizer w/ toasted baguettes or serve over pasta as a main dish.

It's impressive enough to serve guests. They will thank you!

How to Make ~ Comforting Au Gratin Shrimp Cups ~ Yum!

  • 1Preheat oven to 350 degree F.

In a small saucepan, over medium heat - melt butter. Whisk in the flour and stir well to combine, continue cooking for a little over a minute, making sure not to burn.
  • 2Add milk and stir until thickened.
  • 3Remove from heat and add the green onion, salt, shrimp, cayenne, Sherry and Parmesan. Stir well.

Butter ramekins and spoon equal portions into each. Sprinkle with about 1 tablespoon of Parmesan for each. Next 1 tablespoon bread crumbs for each and a sprinkle of paprika.
  • 4Bake for 15 minutes or until starting to bubble and begin to brown.
  • 5Remove from oven and eat as is, or serve with a salad or over pasta.

This would also be great served on garlic toasted baguettes.

    We love it!
