I've made these for over forty years now and everyone loves them. They are really easy and very tasty. If I have leftover filling I usually place around caps and bake with mushrooms. Hope you enjoy them, we do.

Ingredients

1 lb
bulk sausage, i usually mild
1 lb
mushrooms, whole
2
tbls of butter
1 pkg
mozarella cheese
1
sleeve of town house crackers

How to Make Stuffed Mushrooms

Step-by-Step

  • 1Clean mushrooms and dry. Cut off stems.
  • 2Cook stems in melted butter till brown.
  • 3Brown sausage until done and drain.
  • 4Place crackers into food processor and crush fine. Add cooked sausage and stems. Process until smooth.
  • 5Place caps on cookie sheet. Add sausage mixture.
  • 6Cut mozarella into strips to fit mushroom tops. Criss cross them. Bake in 350 degrees, for 20 minutes or until mushrooms are cooked.
