I've made these for over forty years now and everyone loves them. They are really easy and very tasty. If I have leftover filling I usually place around caps and bake with mushrooms. Hope you enjoy them, we do.

  • 1 lb
    bulk sausage, i usually mild
  • 1 lb
    mushrooms, whole
  • 2
    tbls of butter
  • 1 pkg
    mozarella cheese
  • 1
    sleeve of town house crackers

How to Make Stuffed Mushrooms


  1. Clean mushrooms and dry. Cut off stems.
  2. Cook stems in melted butter till brown.
  3. Brown sausage until done and drain.
  4. Place crackers into food processor and crush fine. Add cooked sausage and stems. Process until smooth.
  5. Place caps on cookie sheet. Add sausage mixture.
  6. Cut mozarella into strips to fit mushroom tops. Criss cross them. Bake in 350 degrees, for 20 minutes or until mushrooms are cooked.
