This has just the right amount of garlic and the lemon gives it that extra ting in your taste buds! Great on sandwiches too!!

Ingredients

  • 2 cans garbanzo beans,drained
  • 6-8 cloves roasted garlic(see my quick recipe for this,can be done the day before!)
  • 1 medium lemon juice, fresh
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper
  • 1 cup olive oil, extra virgin
  • 1 pinch paprika, sweet mild or cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chives,fresh,chopped

How To Make creamy hummus

  • Step 1
    Use your food processor for this. Drain the garbanzo beans well,add to the machine with the garlic,lemon juice and zest,salt,pepper. Pulse until all is mixed then turn on regularly and slowly add in the olive oil until the hummus is nice and smooth. You may want to scrape down the sides of the bowl to get all of it.
  • Step 2
    Remove from the bowl to a serving vessel and garnish with paprika,cayenne,chives or whichever you prefer. Serve with fresh cut raw vegetables,pita chips or you can use this as a spread on sandwiches too! Enjoy!
