cranberry salsa

I used fresh jalapenos and removed the seeds and it made the salsa very mild. If you like heat leave them in. I have never used can jalapenos, so I don't know how good it would be. If you like cranberries, you will like this.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 12- ounces bag fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons chopped canned or fresh jalapeno peppers
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 - green onion, white and green parts, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice

How To Make cranberry salsa

  • Step 1
    Combine water and sugar in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Add cranberries; return to boil. Gently boil cranberries for 10 minutes without stirring.
  • Step 2
    Pour into a medium glass mixing bowl. Gently stir in remaining ingredients. Place a piece of plastic wrap directly on salsa.
  • Step 3
    Cool at room temperature and refrigerate. Best if served at room temperature. Makes about 21/2 cups.
