YUM YUM YUM!! This is the best and always loved soup. Will warm your tummy on a cold day!!

  • 2 Tbsp
    butter or margerine
  • 2 c
    onions (thinly sliced)
  • 4 c
    beef broth (lb jamison's regular soup base, beef flavored)
  • 2 Tbsp
    dry sherry (optional)
  • 1 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 4-6 slice
    french bread (toasted)
  • 1 c
    shredded cheese

How to Make YUMMY French Onion Soup


  1. In a large sauce pan melt butter. Stir in onions. Cook covered on medium heat 8-10 minutes until tender and golden - stir occasionally. Add beef broth, dry sherry (if desired), worcestershire sauce and a dash of pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 10 minutes. Sprinkle toasted bread with cheese. Place under broiler til cheese melts and turns light brown.
