I love to eat soup in the winter, but sometime i joy it in the summer. this is a go to soup when there alot of people that come over..

Ingredients

  • 2 c
    onion
  • 1/4 tsp
    chives
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 2 lb
    canned great northern beans
  • 3 1/2 c
    fat-free low sodium chicken broth, or vegetable broth
  • 1/2 c
    celery, sliced
  • 12 clove
    garlic, peeled, crushed
  • 1 c
    sliced carrots
  • 3 slice
    steak ham,chopped

How to Make Garlic Bean Soup with Ham

Step-by-Step

  1. Saute onion, carrots, celery and garlic in oil in large saucepan for 3-4 minutes. Add chicken broth and beans; heat to boiling reduce heat and simmer until vegetables are tender, 5-8 minutes. Process soup in food processor or blender until smooth. Serve in bowl; sprinkle with chives.
