Ingredients

  • 1 cup long grain and wild rice
  • 2 cups homemade beef or chicken stock or lower sodium store bought
  • 1/2 cup onions, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup celery, finely diced
  • 1/2 cup carrots, shredded
  • 4 tablespoons butter

How To Make long grain and wild rice with veggies

  • Step 1
    Add 4 tbs of butter to saucepan and heat. Add veggies and simmer for about 10 min. until they begin to tenderize.
  • Step 2
    Add rice and broth. Cover and bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer and cooked with lid on for about 45-55 min. till tender.
