Growing up in a Cajun family, we had Jambalaya often. This is a simple family recipe that makes a delicious side or main dish. It is a great way to use up left over rice.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    ground pork sausage, i like the regular jimmy dean
  • 1 medium
    yellow onion, chopped well
  • 1 large
    bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    celery, chopped fine
  • 1 tsp
    salt and pepper
  • 2 c
    cooked white rice

How to Make Easy Sausage Jambalaya

Step-by-Step

  1. Brown sausage in a skillet. Drain off all but a small amount of fat to brown vegetables in.
  2. Saute onions, bell pepper & celery in left over oil until tender.
  3. Add cooked rice, salt & pepper. Heat ingredients thoroughly.
