    chickpeas, undrained
  • 1/4 c
    onions, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp
    dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp
    hot pepper sauce
  • ·
    fresh basil leaves for garnish

How to Make Hummus Dip

Step-by-Step

  1. Drain beans, reserving 1/4 Cup of the liquid. Place beans, reserved liquid, onions, lemon jice, garlic, basil and hot pepper into blender or food processor and process until smooth. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hr. Garnish with fresh basil. Serve with wheat thins or your choice of chip
