I created this as a Halloween Sammie Challenge.... They can be made small, medium or large.... The ones pictured here are the large ones. These buns are fun for your Halloween party as a decoration or as a sandwich bun! The small ones are perfect for sloppy joes, sandwiches, dinner rolls. The large ones are great for deli meat sandwiches! *** (If you sprinkle some shredded cheese on the bread just before baking... it gives a great and creapy texture and look.... !) *** The sammie in the photo is an Italian Cheeseburger with jalapeno pepper jack cheese, pasta sauce and onion. Was sooooo good!!!! Tomorrow I told the kids I will make them a "toe jam" sandwich... (peanut butter and jam). http://www.justapinch.com/recipe/colleen-sowa/toe-jam-sandwich/quick-easy-healthy-meat-breakfast-for-kids

Using the sliced almonds as toenails is easy... just gently press the fat end of the nut slice into the dough with the pointed end pointing away from the toe tips (as photo shows)
  • Let the dough rise until doubled in size.
