"outlaw" salad aka broccoli salad

Got this from a friend and just saw another version posted on another recipe site... so I thought I'd add mine. And I don't know why it's called "Outlaw" salad, unless my friend's granddaughter couldn't pronounce broccoli!!

Ingredients For "outlaw" salad aka broccoli salad

1 bunchbroccoli florets

1red onion
-
1 ccraisins
-
1 bunchfresh red seedless grapes

1/2 pkgdates, chopped

1 lbcooked & broken bacon
-
1 csalted cashews
-
1 cmayonnaise
-
2 Tbspapple cider vinegar
-
2-3 tspsugar
How To Make "outlaw" salad aka broccoli salad

1cook bacon till crisp, when cooled break up into bite size pieces

2I like to make the florets smaller, and make sure they've been washed & no water as well as the grapes. I usually only use 1/2 bunch... depends on your tastes

3combine 1 c mayo w/vingar in a small bowl. add more vinegar if needed to make it easy to pour. Add sugar or sweetener. I don't add that anymore but some people might like it.

4combine in a LARGE bowl the all of the ingredients except the cashews. Even with one bunch, it makes a lot! just before serving add the cashews & toss!! I like the salted ones because they balance with the sweetness of grapes, dates & craisins.. Enjoy!!
