This is my husband's recipe and it only takes about 30 minutes, start to finish. Easy everyday dish that also is a hit with company!

Ingredients For texmex pork chops

  • 1 bottle
    taco sauce or salsa.
  • 1 Tbsp
    vegtable oil
  • 1 can
    diced green chilis (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground cumin
  • 1/2 c
    grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4
    boneless porkchops 1/2" thick

How To Make texmex pork chops

  • 1
    Heat oil in heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Brown chops on one side, about 2 minutes. Turn chops. Add taco sauce, chilies and cumin to skillet: mix well. Lower heat, cover and barely simmer for 12 minutes. Uncover, top each chop with one or two tablespoons of cheese. Cover and simmer an additional 2-3 minutes, until cheese melts. Serve immediately.
