A pastors wife gave this to me, she was a very sweet lady and definitely knew her sweets! I'll post a picture the next time I fix it!

Ingredients For chew bread

1 lbbrown sugar

4eggs
-
2 call purpose flour

1/2 tspsalt

1 tspvanilla extract

1 cpecans (optional)
How To Make chew bread

1Preheat oven to 400 degrees F ( 200 degrees C ). Grease a 15x10x1 inch jellyroll pan.

2In a heavy saucepan combine the sugar and eggs. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat, stir in the flour, salt, vanilla, and pecans.

3Spoon mixture into the prepared baking pan and bake for 15 minutes in the preheated oven. Cool and cut into squares.
