This meat is NOT burnt. It is a dark brown because of the kitchen bouquet. It was so tender that I couldn't get it out of the crock pot in one piece. It just fell apart. So delish. 1/8/14
This is what the chuck roast looked like straight out of the crock pot. It fell apart when lifting it with the meat fork. So tender. I put the gravy in a container to reheat another day. There was about two cups of gravy saved. 9/11/15
This is what the gravy looked like just before I poured it over the roast in the crock pot. I had stirred it until it thickened scraping the little bit of brown bits from the bottom of the pan with the whisk as I stirred. 1/8/14
After browning the roast on both sides and placing it in the crock pot, I melted the 2 T butter in the skillet and then added the 2 T flour. Then whisked it together and cooked until thickened. 1/8/14
Here is my "choice" for ingredient #1. It is a 2.55 lb Sirloin Tip Roast. Since it was on sale, it was my "roast of choice". LOL. Rubbed the Kitchen Bouquet on all sides. 1/8/14
This is what my gravy looked like when I put all the specified ingredients into this bowl and mixed it up. Guess it's the mushroom gravy that gives it the lighter color. 1/8/14
