I set the timer for 35 minutes so I would have time to get the milk mixture ready to put on the cake as soon as it came out of the oven. During that time I got all the ingredients ready. Yes, I used margarine (this time). 6/12/12
Of course, I had to cut a small piece to taste. LOL. Could hardly wait. This is a really sweet, moist cake and you can definitely taste the pineapple. LOVE IT!! 6/12/12
Mixing bowl with 2 cups flour, 1 1/2 cups sugar, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp. baking soda and 2 eggs. Can of pineapple to the left. Our large size can of pineapple has 20oz in it. 6/12/12
This is the cake, fresh out of the oven. It looks and smells divine, but I can't get into it until tomorrow afternoon, so into the fridge it goes. This is truly one of the easiest cakes to make that doesn't rely on a mix! Kudos!
This is a picture of the Granny Cake, just took it out of the oven and poured the HOT mixture over it. Smells wonderful, can't wait to have a piece when it is cooled.
LOL, I have the yellow Tupperware spoon set along with the matching measuring cups too, those dates look about right to me, I got them right out of high school :-)
I used to be a Tupperwear dealer (demonstrator) back in 1975, 1976 somewhere around that time. That's when I got mine. Tupperware does last a long time and has a lifetime guarantee. No I'm not plugging Tupperware really...I don't sell it anymore...but they do have great products. LOL 9/26/12
oh my goodness I had to laugh Rose you have the same Orange measuring spoons as I do (Tupperware )We have had them at least 35 years probably longer hahahha
