I Made These Tonight, Served With Another New Recipe On Jap - The Mock Lobster Casserole.

The Fries Are Real Tasty, Loved The Seasonings. I Usually Only Sprinkle Old Bay On My Homemade Fries.

Thanks For The Tip Of Soaking In The Ice Water.

Yes, they are. They are not pricey knives at all compared to the expensive chef knives. I really like mine.

That is great!! Yeah knives now say don't let them soak in water don't put them in the dishwasher and so on. That's cause they are fake! Hard telling what they are really made out of. LOL I love Amazon and will have to get over there and check them out. Are they decent in price?

The DO have them on Amazon. I see my thin blade paring knife, love it, and my 6 inch tradtional utility knife. They have wooden handles, and so I don't let them soak in water. However, I always have a glass of soapy water and I put them down in that to soak. I do put them in the dishwasher. I got mine as a wedding present, and they are in great shape.

I have had Chicago Cutlery for many years. No rust. I have given many for wedding gifts and housewarmings. Google them and take a look. Maybe Amazon has some. I don't know that, but I sure would look.

Oh brother....I hate that. I have purchased many products that I was disappointed in. The one thing I would love to get and it really be good and not get rust stains and such is a good set of knives. It seems no matter what the claim (including places like Pampered Chef) the knives rust if left in water for any amount of time. It is ridiculious. I don't care if they are expensive I want some real knives that won't rust!!!! It is driving me crazy I tell you. LOL

If I had found mine on Amazon, and why I didn't go there, I don't know, but the reviews say mine will only take a potatoe 4 inches in length, but it didn't say that is all it would do on the box when I bought it!

I got my fries slicer from bed, bath and beyond. If you go to Amazon, and search for FRENCH FRY CUTTER, a bunch pops up and mine is the first one on the list. Progressive International.... It makes regular and small fries. The reviews are not really encouraging on a lot of the cutters. The reviews makes for very informative reading. You will learn a lot about cutters! I notice the Jumbo cutter on the same page, says that it will cut even the large russet potatoes. That is something to look into, not sure of the reviews on that one.
