I Loved The Idea Of Doing Elmo Cupcakes And Decided Too Add Cookie Monster Too. I Had Several Graduation Open Houses To Do This Past Weekend And These Went Over Well With The Little Kids At The Parties. Simple..basically Look At The Picture And Use A Half Chocolate Chip Cookie Cutting A Small Slice Into The Lower Half Of The Cupcake To Place Cookie Into Cupcake Looking Like It Is In Cookie Monsters Mouth. I Did Yellow Cake With A Hershey's Candy Kiss In The Center When Baking...these Went Over Very Well, And Are So Much Fun To Make!

I loved the idea of doing Elmo cupcakes and decided too add Cookie monster too. I had several graduation open houses to do this past weekend and these went over well with the little kids at the parties. Simple..basically look at the picture and use a half chocolate chip cookie cutting a small slice into the lower half of the cupcake to place cookie into cupcake looking like it is in Cookie monsters mouth. I did yellow cake with a hershey's candy kiss in the center when baking...these went over very well, and are so much fun to make!
Cookie Monster....use Small Marshmallows, Blue Food Coloring, And Half Of A Smaller Chocolate Chip Cookie, And A Small Round Tip With Black Frosting For The Pupils In His Eyes. Simple And Soooo Cute!

Lynn I know how long it took me to make 50 of them... omg... 500!! I once made about 700 cookies for the high school band. All 3 of my girls were in the band so I thought I'd do a nice thing and told the band if the football team won I'd bake them all cookies. Duh. they won. Ouch my back hurt so bad by the time I was done. I made dough 2 or 3 days in advance, and refridgerated 7 batches intended to make 8 dozen each .. then set aside one day to bake them all. I honestly was cursing my oven by the last batch, I hate you !#@%^ Oven!!! I hate YOU!

Thank you Helene and Peggi...they are such a big hit with the little kids. Easy and fun to do..for sure. I have done about 500 cupcakes in one weeks time of 10 different varities...I am about cupcaked out! lol

After making about 20 of these I learned also that I should only use half of the oreo cookie LOL~
