I Found This Today, Now I Know For Sure This Was My Mothers Recipe! I Had Scanned All Of Her Recipes She Had On Paper And Saved On My Computer.  It's In Her Handwriting.  She Would Be So Happy To Know Her Pie Won A Blue Ribbon.

Yes, it does look like more than just one cup of pecans. I made this yesterday. This is the photo I took. Delicious!!!

The KItchen Crew pic looks like she used a bit more than one cup peans. I realize it is a dark filling, but not much bubbled up through the pecans, as other pies did. I am sure they were all delicious!
