I Found This Today, Now I Know For Sure This Was My Mothers Recipe! I Had Scanned All Of Her Recipes She Had On Paper And Saved On My Computer. It's In Her Handwriting. She Would Be So Happy To Know Her Pie Won A Blue Ribbon.

Judy I do not cook it on top of the stove. But I have seen where others do. The main thing is to be sure you oven heats properly. If not you could end up with a runny pie from what I've been told. I've never had that problem with this pie.

Diane, you pie looks wonderful. I also see that your pie is FIRM. I was wondering if you COOKED your syrup mixture on the stove before you put it in the pie crust. I noticed that the lady that tested and baked your pie said she did.

As I was looking for something that is easy to make Pecan Pie as far as I know your recipe for the Pecan pie seems to be the easiest one to make. I am looking forward to make it for Thanksgiving Day & Christmas too. Thank you for sharing! Happy Holidays ~ Faye Savannah, Ga.
