Love this recipe. I had go to my husbands family for dinner which was carne guisada in the mid 80's omg!! We mived and I have looked for recipes off and on for awhile. What caught my attention is how long it had been in the family. I figured it had to close and it looked tge same. IT WAS SPOT ON!! so approx 30 years later my husband was beyond impressed ate himself almost sick the first time. So THANK YOU! Ihave made sure to pass it down as well so it doesnt get lost again.

I'm from SAT, missing the carne guisada taste. Will try your recipe only because the photo you posted looks delicious. Will let you know the outcome. Thanks:-)

I found you while searching for a carne guisada recipe. My family loves your recipe so much, that they prefer this one rather than our hometown's favorite Mexican restaurant. :-)
