I found the salt really brought out the flavor a lot, but it has to be lightly salted, as stated in the recipe. Also, when you previously mentioned that you notice they are coming more and more out with recipes like that..do you mean the butterscotch pudding and more of similar puddings or more with unusual ways of serving it, such as using salt? I love anything butterscotch or caramel. I think it did resemble the caramel and salt type taste. The butterscotch pudding is very creamy and has a real buttery flavor, and it tastes good mostly because the butterscotch is 'truly' a homemade candy (made from scratch), since when following instructions in order, we are actually making the butterscotch candy first, and then adding milk in order to turn it into a creamy pudding (secondly). I really love the idea of making homemade butterscotch candy...and then adding milk for a creamier consistency for the pudding part. I think the 3 Tbsp made the pudding thicker also. After making it the first time, I loved it, and so did my family, and also, I will be making it again this weekend.

That is wonderful Brenda...I so want to make this too but I am going to wait till my nephews are over so I can share. I look forward to trying it with salt on top too. They said it brings out the flavors more. I have been noticing that they are making more and more recipes like that. I think about the caramels with salt on top.

Thank you Kim! Everytime I prepare a recipe, I love to add a picture of the finished results, and also let everyone know how it tasted. I love this Butterscotch Pudding recipe, and will be making it often..it was not very difficult to make either. I like it with salt (lightly) added on top of it..but, that is because I am a salt lover, but it was also good without the salt, so the next time, I will not salt all of them, only mine, but will put the salt on the side for anyone who wants to add it. This recipe is a real keeper for me..I have it stored inside my recipe box which sits on top of my stove and contains only my most commonly and weekly cooked recipes. Thank you!

I have never had good luck when wrapping anything using cellophane..lol! The cellophane almost always gets stuck together...I have much better luck using plastic bags.

I'd rather have the lids too, not a big fan of most "wrapping"...some won't stick well.
I hate when it sticks to eachother and not the bowl!!!

Yes, I love the lids that come with them..they are snap on lids, and it is so nice not having to put cellophane wrap on them during refrigeration!

Thank you, I really love these ramekins...they hold 10 ounces each..also they have good quality plastic covers for each of them. I purchased them on QVC, and there are four of them included in the Temptation square bake set. I purchased two of the Temptation square bake sets in the Confetti color. Thank you again!
