Yes, Stormy, I bought this dried lavender last fall at a winery that also had lavender fields. I have no idea what variety it is. The package didn't say. I will attend a lavender festival on Saturday and should get plenty of lavender goodies to take home. I have been excited and getting in the lavender mood this week. :)

I found that each color tasted slightly different, but all very good.

You used a darker purple lavender. Mine was almost pink. I had white ones at my old house. Mine will be dark this year also as My lavender here is a deep purple.
