Baked This Today. I Am A Big Lover Of Choc. Cake With Choc Frosting/icing. This Cake Reminds Me Of The One My Mother Used To Bake Us When We Were Kids. The Box Cakes Were Not As Good Back Then, And She Never Bought One (that I Knew Of).

Baked this today. I am a big lover of choc. cake with choc frosting/icing. This cake reminds me of the one my mother used to bake us when we were kids. The box cakes were not as good back then, and she never bought one (that I knew of).

That sure looks like my old Fanny Farmer Cookbook that was a shower gift from a dear friend 46 years ago. What a wonderful cookbook. It was my "bible" for many years and still is occasionally.
