They have road side vender's, in early fall, that sell huckleberries here. They go for around $40 to $60.00 a gallon depending on what kind of bumper crop it is.
My sister loves to go pick them. She had bugged me for years to go picking..One year I sent her this same photo. She was not amused. She still gripes about it for only sending her a picture. I told her it was cheaper to buy off the vender's than go to all the trouble.
I did take my sister picking last year..so she can't complain. I think we only got about 2 or 3 cups. She lost most of hers when she stumbled and rolled down the hill.

Yeah, I know. I searched the internet. :( I'm going to search a lttle more on the net and maybe I can buy some frozen huckleberries on line. sw:)

I think a lot of people would like them to grow in their back yards..They have not found a way yet. Only in the mountains.
