oh Carolyn, I know. I loved my real koi pond - and yes, each one got bigger. Since we're out in the country now I don't dare have a fish pond, other than Nancy's MY PATIO PAINTED KOI POND , because the raccoon would have a field day. I couldn't bear to lose my "pets". We do have a pool with a waterfall, and a stream with waterfall, so we're able to still have the sound effects of running water.... but ponds are like coke - nothing like the real thing! Post a pic of your pond - would love to see it.

I have a koi pond. There is nothing like it - The sound of the water, the fish and the waterlilies. This is the 3rd pond, each time going bigger....

we put in a stream and waterfall in our backyard... it just recirulates the water - no fountain, no fish, but we have critters that come up and drink from it. Love the sound of flowing water - from the upper patio, lower patio, and soon from the gazebo. I can't wait until it's done so I can start on the painted koi pond. I just love that idea! Took us years too... hang in there Silver Rose and continue with your nagging - er, I mean "motivational speeches".

That is something like what my husband has been wanting to do in our back yard....only instead of a pond...put in a fountain with flowing water.....been wanting to do it for 15 years and nothing's come of it...$$$ 5/20/12
