A diner in our town makes a version of this, only they use 2 entire grilled cheese sandwiches as the bun for the burger. It is to die for! (NOT for dieters!)

lol Rose........I made this so long ago...I couldn't even begin to tell you what kind of cheese that was.............cheddar for sure, and the white is either provolone, swiss or havarti or maybe even muenster...those are the cheeses I usually have on hand :o)

It looks like you used two different types of cheeses on this sandwich. Do you mind telling me which ones you used? Looks like provolone or mozzarella...and cheddar or Yellow American. Sure looks amazingly delish! 11/05/12
