Hi Mary! I think that would be an excellent idea. They would surely be unique and people like special things. I'm sure that after you have found your clientele you will discover the things that interest them. The only thing that fruit pie requires is a cover and some steam vents.... it does not matter what the cover looks like as long as the pie tastes good!! Blessings on your endeavor. I am also sharing another recipe for pie crust that is wonderful, but the reason I'm sharing it is that in the comments section there are some videos about how to do pie crust edges. The first one is simple and you probably already know how to do it, but the second one shares some other ideas on how to crimp the edges. They may not be useful to you if you are an experienced pie maker (as I'm sure you are) but the ideas are good and can be expanded upon. Here is the link: Pie Crust (old recipe)
Blessings!!

I am starting my own pie business and I really like to do decoated pies and think outside the box. I want to do pies that look like cats, dogs, cars, boats, flowers like tulips, daffodils, daisies, but am not sure how to go about this. I have been looking over the internet and cannot seem to find much information about doing something like this. Do you think that something like that would be a good idea?
