My two pies patiently cooling (they're patient, not I!) I made my own crust, added cocoa and a little sugar, then shaped the trimmings and put on top last 10 minutes of baking. Sure hope I win the contest!
Pie #1...it's a little darker and not completely solid on top because I realized about 5 minutes into baking that I forgot the vanilla. ;) So I stirred it in, disrupting the beautiful skin layer on top. I'm sure it'll still be yummy!:)
