Making This Butter Pecan Cake Was So Easy, And It Turned Out Great.
Thanx For The Recipe........

April 9, 2011...(cake Before Slicing)..the Cake Layers Are Very Thin, And Next Time I Will Make About Three Layers, If Possible.i Used 9 Inch Cake Pans And Added Pink Coloring To My Frosting. Also, I Added More Pecans To The Ingredients (both Batter And Icing), So It Has A Very 'nutty' Taste (which I Love). I Think The Cake Batter Is Very Heavy Due To All The Pecans That Are Saturated And Baked In Butter. But This Cake Is Delicious!

April 9, 2011..here Is A Slice Of The Butter Pecan Cake I Prepared Last Night, Using Dawn's Recipe.

The Taste Of This Cake Is Delicious!

Even Though The Cake Did Not Raise Much During Baking, This Was A Very Delicious Cake! The Cooked Batter Is Thick And Heavy..loaded With Pecans (i Added More Pecans)..much Like A Nut Bread (or Similar).

I Used A Box Of Instant Vanilla Pudding And One Half Of Cup Of Mayonaise (along With The Required Amount Of Butter Mentioned In The Recipe). It Did Come Out Moist And Chewy For Me.

Brenda N: That is okay, and glad it did not upset, and did not want any confusion either. :-)
I really don't care if they have that option, since I am usually careful, except tonight, when I got distracted and clicked the comment button without reviewing it beforehand...but sometimes have wondered why they don't have the option. Thank you for understanding though :-)

Brenda, I am sorry if you thought it upset me. I don't care except didn't want to make you think it was Gail's and when she saw comment be confused. No biggie as far as I am concerned though. But know what you mean about changing things though. Don't sweat over it though.

It wont allow me to undo the comment with the mistake. This is the one thing that I don't care much about regarding the JAP comment site, is that if we make mistakes we can't undo them..I am hoping they may give us the correction options one day..sorry!

Brenda N: I am sorry about typing the wrong name...I meant to put your name, and am truly sorry for this mistake. I am going to go to the picture where I first typed it, and will re-do it if it possibly allows me that option. It may, but we will see...sorry.

Brenda, this isn't Gail's. I put this one on that used self rising and it actually is a little higher than the one with pink icing.

Pretty cake Gail! It looks like it is very moist also. Did the self rising flour and buttermilk really make it much higher?
