I always loved them too; and I think one of mine came from an aunt of my husband's after the house was sold. I chose that above everything else, Imagine! She was a wonderful cook, and her husband was the greatest guy. We loved Uncle Henry, and Aunt Gerry, and we had such fun with him especially. She was a meticulus housekeeper, and I remember she would remove an ash tray immediately and wipe it out, in those days when we were smokers and visited them. How inconsiderate we were in the early sixties when we both smoked. She baked the best "fruitcake" I ever ate, it was a light fruitcake, and so delicious. I need to find that recipe!

I had the same corningware baking dish but a 10" sq one. I have guarded it with my life for the past 32 yrs. 2 weeks ago it fell off my counter and broke. I was soooo mad and sad. I used that pan all the time and loved it so much.
