I use Splenda instead of sugar to try to reduce the sugar amount. Other than that you can use store brand items, no need for top shelve

Sweet banana peppers, but you could use all hot banana peppers of a mix if you choose, but "do not" use bell peppers, they will simply cook away and get to mushy
