It sure sounds good to me, especially in August! We hope this won't be a stormy August, the Summer so far has been very unusual here, and it's good to go North when the weather turns tropical at that time. I'm glad your daughter will be with you for a change. Wishing you a great vacation!
That sounds wonderful Thea! We sure wish we could get off the island in August, as that's when most of Washington,DC, N.Y, and other folks come here. Our last trip to Maine was too long ago! The price of lobster has dropped a lot for the lobster fisherman, so it ought to be cheap up there.
Do you steam/boil your own, or buy the lobster cooked when you're there?
You are so welcome, Beth. These were Maine lobsters that we bought in Southwest Harbor and I made the lobster rolls at the campground. We're heading there at the end of August with my daughter, daughter-in-law and our friend, Kenny. We are spending 8 nights in Acadia, so there will be lots of lobster eating!!
Oh YES, I like your "take on a lobster roll". That's the way I prefer mine too Thea, almost "ala natural"! I think of Maine, and Larsen's Fish Market of Menemsha, and my friends who own lobster boats here, and the cold waters of New England, when I think of "fresh lobsters".
