I love to cook but I didn't always. In my 20s it was a nothing more than a nasty chore. Having my children in the kitchen when they were little and I was still learning was stressful for me most of the time. It took years to develop skill, and confidence in the kitchen but by the time my kids were in high school, it was one of my favorite activities to do as a family. Now my kids are in their 20s and they not only have impressive kitchen skills but they enjoy it too! I count that as a parenting win.
