Members Reinvent Holiday Leftovers

Cherie Hammond's Sweet Potato Biscuits

Who says leftovers have to be boring?! In fact, I’m taking a stand and ringing in my New Year by giving a few Christmas leftovers a tasty makeover.

I’ve been noticing that many of you have been posting inventive ways to incorporate leftovers into new dishes. Cherie Hammond’s Sweet Potato Biscuits, for example, are a great way to use up those leftover yams. Main courses are also getting a facelift – Check out Zinnia Martinez’s Country Ham Dip and Patricia Mosso’s Fast Breakfast Bake. Perhaps most decadent of all is Joan Williames’ recipe for Eggnog Truffles. We rarely have a drop of eggnog to spare at the close of our family Christmas, but these little decadent bites are reason enough to set a bit aside.

On behalf of the entire Kitchen Crew, I’d like send out our very warmest wishes to each and every one of you. Here’s to a peaceful, prosperous and delicious New Year…
