How to Poach an Egg

Poaching an egg has never been easier thanks to the Just A Pinch Test Kitchen!

Add water, a bit of vine
Add water, a bit of vinegar and pinch of salt to a pot and allow water to come to a light simmer.
Using a slotted spoon, s
Using a slotted spoon, swirl the water in a circular motion.
Crack egg and place egg
Crack egg and place egg into a small bowl. While water is swirling, slowly pour egg into water.
Continue gently swirling
Continue gently swirling water (this will help prevent the egg from spreading). Cook time depends on how you like your egg. Start at 4 minutes and then adjust time as needed.
Carefully remove egg fro
Carefully remove egg from water and place on paper towel to remove excess water.
