Slow Cooker Crock Pot

Ingredients

2 lb
beef for stew, cut in bite-size pieces
5 c
water
1 c
tomato juice
1 can(s)
(14.5 oz.) diced tomatoes, undrained

onion, chopped
1 c
celery, sliced
2 c
carrots, cubed or sliced
1 c
chopped cabbage
1/2 c
quick cooking pearl barley
1 tsp
salt
1/2 tsp
pepper
1 clove
garlic, minced

Step-By-Step

1Place all ingredients into a 4-qt. slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW setting for 8 or 9 hours No need to brown the beef beforehand.
