Peanut Butter Oat protein snack

I modified another recipe from this site, this is the first time I am trying these.

Ingredients

1/2 c
oatmeal, uncooked
1/2 c
oat bran uncooked
1/4 c
ground flaxseed
1 c
peanut butter, creamy
1/3 c
honey
1/2 c
semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c
almonds, chopped
dash(es)
almond or vanilla extract
1 scoop(s)
chocolate whey protein powder

Directions Step-By-Step

Combine oatmeal, flaxseed, protein powder and oat bran in a mixing bowl.

In a separate bowl combine peanut butter and honey, in a microwave safe bowl, melt for 30 seconds then stir to mix together. Add to bowl with dry ingredients. Mix, it will be crumbly.

Add almonds, almond extract, and chocolate chips, mix together forming a large ball in the bowl, place in refrigerator and chill for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, remove from refrigerator and roll into individual balls, freeze and enjoy.

Or

Press onto cookie sheet and freeze or chill then cut into squares and enjoy.
