An easy way to update your everyday peas.

*Can be made vegetarian using vegetable stock granules in place of chicken bouillon.

Ingredients

2 c
water
1/2 tsp
salt
1 1/3 c
peas, frozen (6 ounces)
1 Tbsp
butter
1/2 tsp
instant chicken bouillon granules
1/2 tsp
orange peel, freshly grated
1/2 tsp
tarragon
1/16 tsp
sugar

Step-By-Step

1Combine water and salt in a medium saucepan. Bring to a full boil. Add peas. Return to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer. Cover and cook 1 minute.

Drain peas in a colander.
2Combine remaining ingredients in saucepan. Warm over low heat. Stir in drained peas.

Cover and keep warm over very low heat 2 minutes to blend flavors.
