Ingredients

3 large
vidalia onions
1 c
sugar
1 c
cider vinegar
several
whole cloves (optional)

Step-By-Step

1Peel onions and slice thinly.
2Separate into rings.
3Boil sugar, vinegar and cloves for 3 minutes.
4Drop in onion rings.
5Cook 3 minutes.
6Store in covered container. A 1 quart canning jar is fine.
7Keeps well in refrigerator.
