I was asked to come up with a tasty BBQ sauce for the kids...

Everybody enjoy this one...

Kept the " heat " on low for this one, so If You want to Tweak it feel free...

But this one's for the Kids !!!

Ingredients

1 stick
butter - melted
1 large
onion - chopped fine
1 small
poblano chili - diced fine ( optional )
3 c
ketchup
1 c
apple cider vinegar
3/4 c
water
3/4 c
apple juice
3/4 c
worcestershire sauce
2 Tbsp
whole grain mustard
1 c
brown sugar - packed
3/4 c
dark molasses
4 Tbsp
honey
1 Tbsp
cumin
4 tsp
dry mustard powder
1 tsp
chili powder - or to taste
1 Tbsp
garlic powder - or to taste
6 clove
garlic - diced fine

Step-By-Step

1In large pan, melt the butter in saucepan over medium heat. Add in the onion, garlic (diced ), and poblano chili, and cook until transparent.

2Mix in ketchup, cider vinegar, water, apple juice, whole grain mustard, worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, molasses, honey, cumin, mustard powder, chili powder, garlic powder.

3Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, and simmer 1 hour 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Use as needed or cooled and refrigerated for up to 2 weeks in sealed container
