Choose Your Basil Dressing

This is a recipe I mixed up one summer day and enjoyed it very much. It is in a small herbal cookbook that I published a long time ago.

It is a simple but very flavorful dressing and is even better for you if you grow your own organic herbs. Hope you enjoy ;)

1/3 c
finely minced fresh basil (opal, lime, lemon, sweet, cinnamon or any other basil)
3/4 c
extra virgin olive oil
1/2 c
red wine vinegar
2 tsp
lemon juice
1 Tbsp
2 clove
garlic, finely minced
1 tsp
sea salt, fresh ground
1 tsp
black pepper, fresh ground


1Combine all ingredients in a quart mason jar and shake well. Cover and chill for at least 1 hour. Serve over salads, vegetables or mix with fresh cooked pasta. Enjoy ;)
